How to ground a laptop in a car?

I do a lot of work on my laptop in my van, me sitting in back with a wireless keyboard and the computer propped up against the windshield.  Still, I can sense oppressive EMF.  I have the laptop's keyboard sandwiched between a couple layers of MicroWave Absorber carbon, wrapped around the back of the screen too. The screen is shielded by a layer of RadioClear, topped by a layer of RadioScreen.  I try to ground it with a cord clamped to the metal laptop and the inside of the 12-volt adapter down below.

Am I grounding it okay?  What else can be done to reduce EMF from a laptop in a vehicle?
