How far from cell phone towers?

   I am trying to find a new home.  I have been primarily housebound with multiple medical problems for several years so I have to be careful.  It is almost impossible to find a house that is not close to cell phone towers.  The town where I live is also the home of FEMA. 
  How far away from a cell phone tower is it safe to live?  Is there an online source where one can find the location of the towers?  Josie

Good source for antenna locations.

2 miles would be a reasonable distance from the nearest
tower.  Any further and you'd eliminate most areas.
Another important metric is how many towers in a 4 mile
radius.

But get an RF meter and measure it yourself.

By the way, I've been measuring RF levels for the
past five years and I can tell you that levels have
been rising recently at an alarming rate. And we don't
even have WiMax yet.

Streaming video over wireless will be the final blow.
