Hi5 Further Update

Hi Everyone,

On August 18th, I joined Hi5 at the invitation of a friend. When I joined I
was taken to a page where I was asked to input my gmail address and password
to invite those in my gmail address book. At the bottom right of the page in
very small letters were the words "No Thanks." I decided to go ahead and
invite those in my address book. Shortly after I got a few emails saying
that Hi5 was swiping information off my peoples address books and sending
invitations.

I suspected that people were rather just inadvertently inputting their gmail
etc. information without realizing that they had the option not to do this
(hence the words in small letters at the bottom of the page).

However, today, my Hi5 webpage informed me that my wife had joined and that
she had invited one hundred and some people. When I asked her if she had
invited the people in her address book, she said she hadn't. I started to
take these messages a bit more seriously, I changed my email and sent out
emails informing people, and I started sending out emails that Hi5 was
swiping information off of people's email sites.

However, upon further questioning, I realized that my wife did indeed invite
the people in her address book, but without realizing that she did.

So, as it stands, I will have to say that I don't think that Hi5 is stealing
people's information but that people are rather inadvertently inviting their
email contacts without realizing it. I may be wrong but until I have more
proof, I cannot say otherwise.
