I'm new to this group. I come to this because it was suggested that I have EMF. What I do know is that I have had candida (yeast overgrowth) since I was pretty young. This of course created all kinds of systemic toxicity and various symptoms. One of the symptoms to come up was what I call the light sensitivity problem. About 8 years ago I noticed while working on CRT computer monitors under fluorescent lights, I ended up with massive migraine headaches, dizziness, nausea fatigue, short term memory loss with foggy thinking. When things are bad I can't stay awake in front of the tube. This is not good as I like to work on graphics on my computer and make a profession out of it. I have not been able to do that. (See my portfolio if you like "http://homepage.mac.com/kirktalon" (maintenance is being done on it this weekend 1-22-05 so it might not work bet. saturday evening and sun. morn,) Anyway, I don't feel like I am sensitive to any other EMFs except the visible ones of light. Is this one of the ways it shows up? I have an electric heater in my room and a heating pad. I'm just getting over a flu and these things only helped me get over it. In fact, one of the symptoms I experience is liver aches when the light sensitivity gets bad. Putting the heating pad on the liver only seems to help. Others have told me there is a liver eye connection that seems true from my experience. I believe I have diminished the symptoms a good deal by following certain detoxing practices I learned or relearned in the candida support groups which includes liver flushes and phyllium bentonite shakes. Drinking a lot of water is helpful too with lemon juice to boot. I use a LCD monitor at home turned down to lowest setting although when my system seems really clean it I can stand it for at least a while turned up. CRT monitor flicker really bugs me. I turn the frequency up and that helps but it gets me sooner then the LCDs. Thanks for reading and have a nice day, Kirk |
Kirk,
Welcome to the list. > > About 8 years ago I noticed while working on CRT computer monitors > The book "The Invisible Disease" by Gunni Nordstrom talks a lot about people with light sensitivities after working with monitors or in labs that have fumes. Some computers, solder and plastics give off fumes that are toxic and cause these health problems. > What I do know is that I have had candida (yeast overgrowth) since I > was > pretty young. Candida is often associated with a heavy metal environment in your body. > I have an electric heater in my room and a heating pad. If you want to lower your electrical sensitivity, discontinue use of the electric heating pad and place the heater as far away as possible because of the magnetic fields associated with the appliance. Get a gauss meter and you'll see. Electric blankets are notorious for causing all kinds of health problems because of the electric current and magnetic field. There is much you can do to detox the metals. Begin with reading materials from Andy Cutler http://www.noamalgam.com/ or Dr. Huggins http://www.hugnet.com/Products.asp#Booklets or Hulda Clark on detox http://www.drclarkbooks.com/ All my best to you, Andrew On Jan 22, 2005, at 12:49 PM, Kirk Tirakian wrote: > > > > I'm new to this group.
