Have you been ripped OFF by non conductive conductive products?

This EHS makes us vulnerable to LIARS and CROOKS who will sell to anything as a magic fix!

If it dont sell write conductive on it and up the price by X 5.

I feel ripped off regularly when I test things as they are fake. Do you have anything to warn people about?

So far I have bought screen that does not screen. Boots and shoes that dont conduct, and mouse mats that don't conduct to earth, to name but a few.   Complain and they are totally rude cos you were nuts to buy it in the first place.  EBay have next to ZERO respect. They certainly don't make any effort to protect customers above profit. fraud is rife there and supported by eBay systemically.

I bought some giron once. I tried using it in my car to no avail. The readings were coming from too many angles so I sent it back for a refund.

I understand your concern, and you have to take the risk when buying. Ebay is one of the best places to buy actually because if its fake all you have to do is claim its fake and you will get a full refund and return shipping free. The customer protection is one of the best. Sellers on the other hand ebay does not protect as well. I make my living with ebay, and ebay is super strict with its sellers. But that doesn’t mean all the products being sold are real as anyone can sell there so its to be expected. Reviews are really helpful when buying on ebay or amazon etc.

Yes, and people who sell fake sfuff on eBay will usually get negative feedback, so if you buy from anyone who has a 100% reputation and lots of positive feedback, then it's probably safer to buy from them than a lot of places online.

Thats the simple answer but the truth is the honest traders are penalised  if they dont lie as eBay tolerates systemic fraud.  I think they should/must offer independent review and ban repeated offenders.

I have been banned from hundreds of sellers for having a legitimate and upheld complaint.  They ignore UK and EU law and there is no one to complain to as they pay off the Authorities.  Seriously.  I have done every thing legally possible and just get no where.  They just ban me from telling the truth. If interested I will send you links.

Generally eBay are brill but are a law unto them selves that has no morality except money. Its a scary world if laws are only applied when there is no money in it.  But thats where we are with EHS too.

I buy endless batteries. They power my life.  It seems seller norm to buy fake spec batteries.  Most are not even 33% of what they claim in mAh. Many are very dangerous and cause fires.  Very few people know or can be arsed to test them.  Scam sellers have pushed out all the honest sellers. I cannot find a single honest source any more.

The same fake standards have usurped almost all bulb wattages.

Take care of marketing hype, it's not always the truth...
More in the bluff and fraud category. But they get their money anyway...so don't get bluffed in the first place;)

Does any one here know about or have a decent surface resistivity meter?

I have one that will tell you the standard stuff but cannot distinguish between metals.  We have one at the yard but it cost E40k and does not do non metals. Has any one found a meter that is useful and affordable?    I am finding it very hard to ID a useful one.
