I am pretty much housebound with several medical problems. There is only one store very close to my home, a small neighborhood Piggly Wiggly, where I can shop. I can make it there alone, and itgives me pride to be able to do that. No flickering fluorescent lights,no buzzing sounds, limited selections that are not overwhelming, no hugestinking detergent and/or pesticide aisle, a great meat market, and I knowwhere everything in the store is. I can be in and out in ten minutes.
Today I learned the store is closing. The economy...... there are two privately owned Piggly Wiggly stores here in Denton, TX, and I think they are the last ones in Texas. Both are closing. Josie
