Hi all
does anyone have any ideas if any company makes a tablet that would be compatible with eSens people? I wonder if the new Windows 8 Surface might be? I don't know how to check, if one can even check for the least amount of electromagnetic goings-on inside these machines. We will be travelling to Arizona Dec and Jan and would like to have a lighter puter to take with us. thanks and I already know we should stay away from them :) Aimee |
That would be a company that offers a tablet that does not do wifi,
or have with a huge antenna to do wifi (so that it doesn't have to exert a lot of power to transmit). Then again, what's the market for that? I do know we've gotten two report that iPads didn't seem so bad (one of those mine), but that's about it. You could also consider a smaller Netbook laptop if you are trying to save space. I bring a Lenovo Netbook with me when I'm on travel. Marc |
thanks for the replies.I had the use of Lenovo Ideapad tablet (new) for a few days and i't made me sick. Unbelievably so. In the past I also tried Acer Netbook and found it very strong. Perhaps a Lenovo (love IBM) Netbook might be an answer. I suppose I could try. I can also look on their site for refurbished, I have done that before. thank you for suggestion Marc.

When my wife got a Lenovo X200 laptop, I noticed that the chemical smell of it (new) was very bothersome to me for at least the first week. I also didn't much like the piercing LED backlight, but dimming it and increasing the red color channel and/or decreasing the blue color channel helped with that. The netbook I use on trips is a Lenovo IdeaPad S10-2, which I bought used (and cheap) on eBay. It seems okay to me, although for wireless I use a wi-fi or 3g transmitter/receiver connected to a USB cable (6 foot cable in airports, 15 foot cable in hotels) Marc |
Thank you Marc
I'm going to check out EBay fer sure. It wasn't just the smell to me but my heart raced like all get out, dizzy, very nauseated. Like my brain just stopped working too. If I didn't experience it I never would have believed another person! and that is the sad part we all have to live with.... people dont believe us for the most part. I'm very lucky that I have a very supportive husband. That is huge ! have a great evening Aimee --- On Fri, 10/12/12, Marc Martin <[hidden email]> wrote: From: Marc Martin <[hidden email]> Subject: Re: [eSens] "Greener Tablets?" Wouldn't you know it....... I found a great looking Netbook..... but they don't send to Canada!! oh grrrrr. I would need to have it sent to a US address.
I will post the link and maybe someone else in the US will be interested. The price is awesome too. http://www.ebay.com/itm/LENOVO-S9-IDEAPAD-N270-1GB-RAM-80GB-WIN-XP-WIFI-NETBOOK-C-/251166647862?#shId Now I'm bummed out.
