I was at one time looking into that. It is too harsh for someone homebound with fibro and severe cold sensitivities. I did find out that a nearby base is also part of the reason for the telescope quiet zone and that there is posibility of it continueing. I did not fully buy that and they were going to know by the end of 2013. Looks like this issue is still in the balance. I have heard that cell towers are encroaching closer and less find it a refuge. I also know that if a telescope interferes with the ability to install smart meters or expand wireless industry, Obama will say "it has to go" and sign an order to move the base and the telescope will not be funded. If it were livable and not so harsh I would be there already.
