Hey all,
I had the Gold (porcelain fused to gold) crown placed yesterday. I notice no es symptoms but my tooth is sore when i eat on it. This tooth had a botched lava crown replaced a monh later with this gold crown so the tooth has been through a lot of stress. I hope it eases up and I will get the bite checked next week. It was cut nicely and feels like a natural tooth. I do have a weird taste in my mouth, not sure if maybe thats from the cement or shot but I hope it dissipates soon. Steve |
Hi Steve
Try arnica for the tooth pain when you bite down on it - could be there is some inflammation in what must by now be quite sensitive gum tissue which the arnica might help with. For other dental homeopathic remedies look up www.drwolfe.com I saw my homeopathic dentist for a consult the other day and while I need a further referral to a homeopathic periodontal surgeon she is fairly certain that my 2 rc teeth which are side by side are going to have to come out. She said that I would initially be given a "dental plate" by way of replacement to allow the gum to heal and then later on could think about implants - she says you don't have to get them right away so that would buy me a bit of time. I asked her too about the stem cell therapy and she says that developments like that are a lot closer to the treatment chair than you would think. Hope the tooth with the crown settles down soon and the unpleasant taste goes away - have you tried doing a rinse with warm water and salt? best wishes Steph ________________________________ From: torch369 <[hidden email]> To: [hidden email] Sent: Fri, 8 October, 2010 23:28:22 Subject: [eSens] Gold Crown inserted Hey all, I had the Gold (porcelain fused to gold) crown placed yesterday. Hi Steph,
We think alike, I am taking arnica as we speak. I am also rinsing with the warm salt water so hopefully it will calm down. I am going to get the bite checked next week. The bad taste has dissipated alot but somewhat still there. I am not as anxious to remove the root canal tooth now that the other side is giving me issues. I am kind of gun shy right now with dentists!
