Georgia Gets Smart Meter Opt out

KathyB

I'm sorry to post a political move, but many on this list are intolerant to smart meters.

Way To Go Georgians Kathy

http://www.stopsmartmetersgeorgia.org/

They are having to fight tooth-and-nail to be protected from "smart" meters, and not getting any help at all from those in charge.  It's a very different story here in the Great State of Georgia!

First, I'd like to thank Senators David Shafer, Buddy Carter, and Greg Goggans, for

sponsoring Senate Bill 459, for an opt out for "smart" meters.

Due to their efforts, and the efforts of many, many Georgians, SB 459 passed, 36 to 13, and we are one step closer to having a totally free opt out.

Thanks, also, to two other senatorial heroes - Chip Rogers and Cecil Staton - who introduced the amendment for the opt out to be free.  You all rock!!  The bill with the amendment, compliments of over thirty other caring legislators, passed like buttah!

More news tomorrow, friends.  You have done well, and I am beyond words.  Have a great day, and enjoy this victory!  We are in the HOUSE.  (-:

Thnaks for posting this Kathy.  I found a lot of good information on that website.  Especially a good description of Smart Meter Swiitching Mode and pictures of meters that caught fire.
