GFCI outlets noisy?

Hi all,

In browsing the Internet, I found someone who wrote
that most GFCI outlets (ground fault circuit interupt)
are constant generators of RF noise. They recommended
the Cooper brand as being noise free.

I've checked my house, and the ground fault outlets
seem to measure about the same as other outlets in
my house on the Stetzer meter. Has anyone had any
experience with this?

Hi Marc,

I have indeed had experience with this.
I measured with gauss meter, measured electricity usage in milliAmps,
and felt for emissions from 3 or 4 brands when building the new house,
and I agree the Cooper GFCI I got in 2003 (sold under the Eagle name)
are best.
The 2004 Cooper with bigger buttons were slightly less good.

And there was another brand with half the mA drain, but was double the
magnetic field.

I'd have to do some digging to find my notes on numbers and specific
brand names.
