Hi, I forgot to add one very important thing. EXERCISE! Exercise stimulates the adrenal glands. I know this is s/times difficult, as chronic fatigue from ES can be debilitating. Start small...In the beginning, 5 min would be exhaust me. This is the adrenals screaming at you, that they are nearing burn out. This is why it is so important to support both the thyroid gland, AND the adrenals. These 2 glands work together, so if one starts to struggle, the other jumps in to help, and if no one hears them crying for help, they both go down! I had many months where I had to literally force myself to exercise, even if it was only for a few min a day. If this is the case for some of you, start small...but be consistent. The other thing is, exercise also stimulates the lympathic system. This means helping the body to release toxins. *What I have learned is its just as much the things we "do" do, that can help or hinder, as it is the things we "don't" do. And one more thing: numbers, meters, blood tests can be useful. But listening to your body will always be your greatest and most accurate tool.

Hi Lizzie,

Although I suffer from adrenal fatigue I seem to have very good stanima when it comes to exercise. I am wondering where and when you are exercising and if that is why at first you got so tired quickly. I find for me the evening is the best as that is when my energy level is the highest. And I have a lot more energy away from my house than inside it, since outside the EMF tends to be weaker. It seems that at the gym where I go the EMF is quite low and I feel better as soon as I get there. Walking outside is also very good as the oxygen levels are higher there and with adrenal fatigue I have read we need high oxygen levels. So if you try to exercise inside the house with the windows closed, especially on an electric treadmill, that could be the most exhausting, for example. Swimming is also great as my energy inside the water is increased dramatically, as seems to be the case with many E.S. people.

Anyway, just some ideas from somebody who exercises 2-3 hours daily.

From what you said, will exercise speed up the thyroid gland function?

Cheryl
