Did he come up with anything new?  I don't need to be told again how important sleep is when there is absolutely nothing I can do to sleep.  !  Just makes me more miserable--as if sleep were a choice for someone with emf sensitivity...!

and I am already as emf protected as I can get.  I get so tired of all these people promoting sleep as if something could be done about it for people like me!  Telling me again and again how important it is.  I KNOW THAT!  Just the tape I need to play all night when I am awake.  Adds anxiety to the mix.

I expect this is more of the same.  If it isn't, pls let me know.  I have already tried every herbal remedy and every pharmaceutical which are like water for me when exposed.

I have also already sold my home and moved 3 times to try to avoid fields.  I already have 4 meters.  And I turn off circuit breaker at night.  So what can he tell me?

Have you tried seeing a naturopath who can muscle test you? Just this week I couldn't sleep at all even with my pills and tent and grounding and everything else. I went in and they tested me and said my adrenals were keeping me awake and gave me some supplements for it. I took the supplements that day and that night slept like a baby as well as the nights thereafter. If I didn't have someone helping me find the root of the sleep problems (as this happens to me just about every other month my body has a different issue which needs something specific so I can sleep) I'd be an insomniac.

And just so you know not all naturopaths are the same. The first one I had was not good and the one I have now is awesome.

lynne, did you read my article about how to eat for different times of the day,
so that you can sleep well at night?  there are foods that function as "uppers"
and foods that function as "downers".  if you are eating fruit, chocolate, and
other sweets at night, they might keep you alert.  if you eat dark green leafy
veggies and root vegetables, they will help you sleep.
a baked potato with a very nice big fat salad is a good sleeping meal - but
no sweetener in the salad dressing.  do you make it a habit to read the labels
on your food choices?  coffee, tea, chocolate - all will keep me awake the
night after i eat them - maybe the second night as well.
fruit in the morning to wake you up; salad and root vegetables at night.
it's hard for me to figure out exactly where the problem is unless i know
everything about your eating habits.  or... read i read an article earlier that
said that staying up late + swearing a lot = high intelligence.  LOL.
maybe you're just overly smart.  :)
love, patricia

There is no ONE supplement (but if you are curious I was given Adrenapath by energetix for adrenal support). Having someone muscle test you on a bi weekly or monthly basis is a lifesaver. The bodies needs are constantly changing. You can try to guess what your body needs...what food it needs, how much water it needs, what supplements it needs, etc but having to try to guess all the time isn't going to get you very far and it goes to be frustrating.

My naturopath can tell me EXACTLY what my body needs and at what time, what dose and for how long to use it. I'm getting to learn more and more what my body needs. In fact about 70% of the time I have an idea what I am lacking and my doctor confirms it without even me saying anything, and they have something to support the problem. Last time I went in because I was having trouble sleeping. I didn't know what the problem was I just knew it was something. And I was right, I needed supplements to support my adrenals. Plus sometimes I alternate what Doctor I see so it would be really hard for them to make it up when they are telling me the same thing!!! My supplements change all the time. Sometimes my dietary needs change. Sometimes I use different essential oils. Sometimes my body has adverse affects to different foods and my doctor tells me to stop eating certain things for awhile. Instead of me continuing to eat it and not being sure exactly what's upsetting me I can know and stop eating it right away and not suffer. The body is complex and as it heals different areas of the body the support it needs is always changing. As the body finishes healing one thing it goes on to heal something else, why wouldn't you want to support it to heal as fast as it can instead of suffering slowly through it? I did that long enough before I started seeing my doctor. Everyone is different, there's no one supplement for each issue either.

You may find one thing that helps you sleep great for a couple weeks and then all the sudden it doesn't work anymore and you are left guessing what you need to sleep and you end up trying tons of different things wasting time energy and money when someone could actually tell you what's the root cause of your insomnia and correct it with wholefood supplement support.

Re: Fwd: Interview with Dr. Michael Breus aka the Sleep Doctor

I can list a variety of things that have inhibited my sleep at different times...all of which were corrected with supplements, diet and the help of my doctor allowing me to sleep again. Here's a list of things that have at different times kept me up at night. I've had parasites keep me from sleeping, my liver getting exhausted from juicing too much which kept me up at night, my adrenals keeping me up, I've had to cut back on some detoxing methods because that caused me to be awake due to the toxicity in my body, I've had to take minerals to calm my body from being exposed to EMFs during the day so I could sleep at night.. And I know there's been more over the last 3 years but that's as far back as I can remember.

Re: Fwd: Interview with Dr. Michael Breus aka the Sleep Doctor

Also often times my doctor tells me there's emotional or stress issues impairing my healing. Emotional or stress problems can get in the way of sleeping too. It's great when someone can help you through those issues and even make you aware of them when you aren't really noticing the problems there. Even just being really stressed about not being able to sleep may make it harder to sleep... Stress raises your corisol levels too. I have needed hormone balancing as well.. That helps with sleep. If your hormones are all over the place sleep is going to be difficult too.

Heh, I have someone who THINKS they know all that too, but I assure you, she is wrong more than she is right... and I've gone through several practitioners who were even worse...

Not all are the same unfortunately, as I said I had a bad one when I first started, but if you find a good one they are priceless.
