There is hope.... don't despair... VoIP is mentioned in the ATT document. Using the VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol), one could access a wired broadband connection and use your existing telephone wiring and your regular telephone(s) to make phone calls ... http://www.vonage.com/how_vonage_works/?lid=sub_nav_how_works The video explains it - as well as the "Home Wiring" See More link. No, not after they remove all the telephone wires (as they intend). Instead, you'll need to pay for Cable, and do "VoIP over Cable" -- if Cable Internet is available in your area. Otherwise there's Ham radio (a radiation source) -- and postal Special Delivery.. You might have to mail your floppy disk-, CD-, DVD- or memory-stick Audio Files, back and forth, to avoid using "microwave wireless" -- if you don't have Cable Internet (or a Ham radio). Not a smart plan... However, this will empower "the government" to shut down ALL communication in the U.S. -- at the "flip of a switch".. Or an enemy "EMP Bomb", or a single "mega solar flare" could place America into "the Dark Ages", with no wired phone system to facilitate an orderly recovery, while normal food delivery to the cities becomes impossible.
