Full Signal movie

Full Signal, Talal Jabari's new documentary on cell towers, had a special sneak preview 3/19/10 in Washington, DC. Angela Flynn, with Wireless Radiation Alert Network (WRAN) and Christine Hoch, with Moms for Safe Wireless (momsforsafewireless.org) joined Full Signal director Talal Jabari for the discussion following the screening.  

The Edmund Burke School, a coed, independent school of 320 students in grades 6-12 hosted the screening and announced that it choose this film out of over one hundred films available through the 18th annual D.C. EnvironmentalFilm Festival because they believe that this issue is a critical issue forschools. They will have a future screening for all faculty and students following the festival.
 
Norber Hankin, with the EPA, attended the screening. He reported that while he continues to work on the wireless radiation issue, the EPA continues to have no funding for EMF/RF and health concerns and his position has no official classification under the EPA. He strongly recommended that Full Signal screenings should be provided for all government officials involved in the telecommunications issue.

The Sneak Preview was attended by lawyers, media, wireless health advocates, electrosensitive individuals and environmental advocates. The general consensus from this audience was that this film must be seen.  

The Washington D.C. Premiere of Full Signal is on Thursday, March 25th at the E Street Cinema, 555 11th St., NW (entrance on E St. between 10th & 11thSts.) (METRO: Metro Center) Tickets, $10, available ONLY at E Street Cinema Box office.  

I am sorry to report that this will not be an EMF/RF free screening. Hopefully future screenings in Washington, D.C. will be EMF/RF free.

New Award-Winning Documentary on Wireless Hazards

Full Signal D.C. Premiere at the DC Environmental Film Festival

A new documentary film on the health effects of cell towers, Full Signal, interviews scientists around the world who are researching the health effects related to cellular technology; activists who are fighting to regulate the placement of antennas; and lawyers and law makers who represent the people wanting those antennas regulated.  

Filmed in ten countries and six US states, FULL SIGNAL examines the dilemmabetween health and finance, one of the challenges in the fight to regulateantenna placement. The film won best documentary at the International Myrtle Beach Film Festival.  

There are 245,912 cell phone towers in the United States, and yet there have been no studies conducted in the U.S. on the risk to human health caused by increased exposure to radiofrequency radiation emissions. Studies in other countries show increased rates of cancer, skin rashes, headaches, fatigue, sleep disturbances and memory problems in those living closest to cell towers.

According to film director, Talal Jabari, "The bottom line is there is moreand more science that is showing there are risks associated with wireless technology. We have to take precautions, not just on an individual level, but on a community level, and, also, in terms of government, to try and change the law that prohibits us from talking about the health impacts of thistechnology."

Camilla Rees of ElectromagneticHealth.org says, "In September 2009, Senate hearings on cell phone safety were organized by Sen. Arlen Specter and presided over by Sen. Tom Harkin but concerned health advocates, scientists andphysicians have heard of no steps the federal government is taking since to reduce exposures to cell phone radiation" says Camilla Rees of ElectromagneticHealth.org. She says, "FULL SIGNAL's presence at the D.C. Environmental Film Festival is important to keep this issue on the minds of legislatorsfor the movement and we hope all government leaders concerneend about health and the health of the environment will attend."
