Avoid any farmed fish:

I've been eating wild caught for a few months and it's good, but any farmed, even organic, is just too fatty.. I always noticed that. The fish food for farmed fish is sprayed with Monsanto chemicals, which end up in the fish and then in the people consuming it... just like the pesticides for wheat, corn etc. There are other chemicals too, so possibly farmed fish is the most toxic food in the world... Scientists trying to raise any flags get fired,.. just like scientists who try to say something about EMF .. it's all about the money. I don't know about other people but I'm almost 100% sure that my EHS is caused from toxicity, which was probably built up by eating toxic foods. I think avoiding any chemicals should be the biggest priority in getting better from EHS,.. unfortunately even with organic farmed fish, it is still toxic. So even organic does not guarantee anything.. but the more we know what foods are polluted the more we can pick something better and improve our health. I think a healthy body can cope with EMF, even though it is not ideal and studies definitely show it causes a wide range of problems.. the problem is that toxins are everywhere already so when you add EMF on top of that it becomes too much. I also think we can definitely get better, but we have to get the toxins out. |
Sailplane, I believe you are right about avoiding farmed fish. I live in an area with numerous geothermal springs, so it's common to see small fish farms in residential yards. There are also the huge fish farms which supply grocers. The local low prices
are so tempting for oysters, shrimp, trout, and tilapia, but I won't touch them. I believe most of what is available in the grocery store is farm raised unless marked otherwise. There are huge fish hatcheries here, too, which supply the stock for many of
the fish farms. They radiate the fertilized fish eggs which results in the fish looking like frankenfish - sort of like the original but different head and coloring - and this causes them to grow rapidly and much larger than an un-radiated fish. They place
these fingerlings in a nearby lake which empties into the Snake River. What in the world are they doing to nature?

Seems nobody cares about anything other than money.. I'm glad I naturally avoided fish but I did eat a tiny bit here and there trying it once in a while because they keep saying fish is good. The Norwegian fish is also frankenfish.. people think those are the cleanest waters and like fish from there, and these guys spray the fish with poison, unbelievable! |
If I eat more than 100-200 gram of farmed salmon I react badly. Take the sign they say, so I only eat small qnt if I get it served.
Instead I eat sprat and fish roe. Much safer and contains a lot less toxins because lower in the "foodchain". And very healthy. Tuna and whalemeat I stay away from too. Whalemeat I reacted very very badly to. |
I wouldn't eat any at all, even if I don't react.. I sort of felt something but not much. Many people don't feel anything until it's too late.. or maybe they do but they never pay attention. Lots of people complain of problems, but they probably never give enough thought to what is causing the problem. Sometimes it's very difficult though, like EMF.. very unlikely anybody will figure it out. |
I give my cat shrimp that is grown in farms. Would this be a toxic as farmed fish? Or is it the same, just a different species? My cat can't tell me if he has a bad reaction. What should I look for?

I don't know much about it, I avoid shrimp altogether. The number one reason for all that: the dirty conditions in which farmed shrimp are raised.” I don't think there's anything you can look for.. it may cause the pet to eventually get sick faster or die faster.. I don't think there have been many studies on this, but as with all toxins, adding them to a living system increases the chance for problems. The chance could be very low .. so you have to decide, and usually it comes down to budget. What can you afford.. vs. how bad it is. It would take many years of consuming it to start seeing any issues. I wouldn't eat it so I wouldn't feed it to a pet either.. If I had a cat I'd probably give it the wild caught fish I found at Costco, it's relatively cheap.. When we had a cat long time ago it only ate what we ate, we didn't have anything else anyway because there was no 'pet food' then. They can eat vegetables, potatoes, cornmeal, beef, chicken, turkey, etc. |

Yes,also the Norwegian waters are contaminated,
mostly as a result of aquafarms (which are in every fjord now). Everybody eating farmed fish need to realize that the farmers use everything they can possibly get away with to help the fish grow faster,get bigger, and less prone to sickness. And the result of all that is what ends up on your plate. And when the original entrepreneurs go broke, or to old to continue-they sell out to a few big companies, who then ends up owning the sea. Personally I have not eaten farmed fish for decades, and to recommend anything I would rather point to dried cod. To me (and everybody in my family) it is a delicatesse, and an absolutely pure product. Adult cod come from the Atlantic sea in to the norwegian coast to reproduce, are caught by fishermen,cut clean from bones and then hang up to dry in the winter air, in temperatures around -5 to +5 celcius. Nothing added. Best thing is if you can buy it fresh and do the rest yourself. |
