Subject: How To Significantly Reduce EMF Levels In Your Home And Deal With Your Guilt Complex

Elizabeth,

You are interested in reducing your exposure to EMFs. You've understood just how worthless the current EMF safety guidelines are.

That's why you are subscribed to this newsletter right?

Well what if I told you that there is a device in your home that is emitting significant levels of EMFs?

What if I told you that it is an EMF source so powerful that its possibly exposing you to levels of EMFs significantly greater than your cell phone (if you are still using one :)).

What if I told you that you could very easily and cheaply eradicate totally this source of EMFs from your home?

If you've been reading my newsletters and articles you have probably already guessed what I am talking about.

Your cordless phone.

If you have already eradicated this source of EMF pollution from your home, there is no need to read any more of this message.

If you're still using a cordless phone, you might want to read on....

You see, when cordless phones first came out they were pretty harmless.

They were analog models.

Some of the early ones (known as CT1s) worked on frequencies of 40/50 megahertz with power outputs in the 5-25 milliwatt range.

What I am saying is the signals were fairly low frequency, the power outputs were fairly low and the EMFs were non-pulsed.

These were soon replaced by digital versions which still operated broadly in the 800/900 megahertz range but they were equipped with Digital spread spectrum (DSS) technology for better performance.

The result was higher frequencies and higher power outputs.

A few years later they introduced digital enhanced cordless phones (DECTs) operating at 2.4 GHz - the same frequency that your microwave oven uses to "cook" food.

The new cordless phones operate on frequencies of up to 5.8 gigahertz (5800 megahertz) with power outputs up to 250 milliwatts!

So they are operating at much higher frequencies with much higher power outputs.

They are so powerful that you can comfortably telephone from the other end of the garden, in some cases the other end of your neighbors garden, and your line will still be clear as a bell (the user guides speak of 2000 feet!).

But perhaps more important than the power output, is the fact that the EMFs are pulsed.

As Andrew Goldsworthy PhD explains "Pulses carried by microwaves are particularly dangerous. This is because their very short wavelength allows the transmission of pulses with extremely rapid rise and fall times, and it is the rate of change of the fields (rather than their total energy) that does most of the biological damage."

A growing number of scientists and other experts are advising against the use of these phones.

In 2006 the German Federal Agency for radiation (BFS) issued a warning highlighting the dangers of DECT phones.

Whereas cell phones are designed to automatically power down, which effectively lowers the levels of EMFs being emitted without damaging reception, the vast majority of DECT cordless phones emit at fixed power.

So what can you do to protect yourself from cordless phone radiation?

How To Reduce Your Exposure

Well, you can throw out your cordless phone and go back to using a corded phone. Problem solved!

It's that easy. But is it?

I know you are listening to what I am saying here, but are you really ready for to take this step?

Don't feel guilty when you answer this.

(If I wasn't electrosensitive then I suppose I would have a regular cordless phone just like everyone else.)

So here is what you can do to minimize your EMF exposure and feel a little less guilty:

-    Put the cordless phone base station at least 6 feet away from where you, or anyone else in your house for that matter, spends any significant amount of time (remember EMFs travel through walls)

-    Only plug your cordless phone in when you use it. You might need to plug it in an hour or two before, but once charged the modern DECTs have 4 or 5 days autonomy

-    Unplug (thats to say remove the plug from the electric socket on the wall) your cordless phone at night - having a corded phone to take the relay is a good idea

-    Use your cordless phone like your cell phone (as in how I have been telling you to use it). Keep your conversations short and use the speakerphone function when you can so that you keep it away from your head as much as possible

Did I spell things out clearly?

Did you get that if you use a DECT cordless phone near its base, it's even worse?

Its worse because you are exposing yourself to a double dose of EMFs. You get whacked by the radiation from the phone and from the base unit.

There is another solution to this problem click here to read more.
