Emergency dental treatment + amalgams

betty A
Hi guys , just having a bit of a freak out , broke a tooth yesterday ( day before going overseas) and had to see a dentist in an emergency. It occuredto me as I was prostate in his dentist chair and breathing a chernobyl sized cloud of amalgam dust , that I probably wasnt doing myself a whole lot of good ( it was a desperate appointment to the only dentist I could get into before flying tonight). Any way this morning feeling a bit rough which could be the effects of the local anaesthetic, or the bit of wine I had to dull the pain, but I just want to know if any one has noticed any side effects, immediate or otherwise, after having had their amalgams drilled/removed , and if there is anything I can do to minimise any potential side effects. In a perfect world I would have seen a holistic dentist and have prepared with plenty of time to prepare , but as you all know life isnt perfect.

all opinions/feedback welcome
