I heard about a house remodel where they used blow-in insulation that
was mostly recycled denim and newsprint, and the cellphone reception
inside became almost non-existant. But, the house already had aluminum
siding on all but one area, and as part of the remodel they added recycled
barn metal (galvanized) for ceilings (not very pretty to my eye... sort of
an industrial look). Conceivably they add some kind of radiant barrier
(conductive) material to the insulation?
