It can be. High enough EMF dosage over time may cause permanent damage to tissue including nerves.

That said alot of other things may be contributing or cause tinnitus. High sound pressure, toxins, bad lifestyle, chemotherapy,.. which is more recognized as causes in western medicine. The tinnitus connection to emf will be difficult if not impossible to proof.

Look up the Frey Effect.  It has been established for decades.  The other very interesting effect is Bongo Brain as illustrated by our friends above.  It is thought that coincidental waves cause tiny explosions and these can be heard.  This is proof that 2 + 2 = 2 theory of waves is wrong. Bear in mind that Wiki wont let any one write about the health effects of EMR on their site as it is totally prejudice about pollution to protect the polluters. Sorry I though all knew. There is a semi permeable membrane in the ear that leaks in EMR that causes balance and noise problems.   This can be "put right" with Serc anti histamines. These are generrally V good for EHS  as ve have histemic problems cause by mast cells every where.  Loads of meds mess with osmosis. See ototoxic drugs.
