Hi,
My wife has for the past 10 years suffered from the effects of radiation (primarily headaches) from mobile phones, and more recently USB internet access devices and Wi-Fi We have been able to mitigate the effect of these devices using ariels which move the receiving source away from her, About 4 months ago we purchased a small laptop PC to travel with due to it's lightness and battery longevity bad move as I was unable to successfully disable the in-built Wi-Fi device and her headaches returned. We have since stopped using the travel PC and returned to using our older PC she is now subject to shoulder and head aches using this device, a dashboard mounted sat nav system, a hand-held iPAQ, a transistor radio and TV. Even as late as yesterday she was standing outside a shop with double pane windows and felt the effects of the computer on the inside of the shop. During the last few days she has had a tingling sensation in her skin and wonders what that may be from. We are currently in the USA and are returning home to Australia in six weeks after traveling in the USA for six months in our RV. My wife is very concerned that the 13 hour flight with TV screens every few yards in the plane might be at best uncomfortable, and at worst a health hazard as the headache results in a throbbing sensation and swelling around her eyes, We have looked on the web site and see that there is much info available, but would like first hand experience from sufferers Your help would be much appreciated. Everyone around you wants to use to their smart phone, laptop, Kindle, etc., and if you get one of those people sitting next to you, that will be worst problem. This is also a problem at crowded airports. However, I must admit that I have not flown on any super-hi-tech airplane lately, and if possible perhaps you should find a plane that hasn't been fitted with the latest hi-tech features? Marc |
Do they have wireless on the airplanes for internet? Loni

I recently went on a few flights and the planes I was on had no wi-fi, no TV's, etc... so, like I said before, the biggest problem were the gadgets that people brought with them on the plane. And the Los Angeles airport was rather nightmarish with a gazillion people using smart phones, laptops, etc. and wi-fi antennas sprinkled all throughout the airport. Marc |
Yes I'm terrified of flying for those reasons Marc plus the fact that the air is stale. Not sure if I could even process the polluted air. Probably no flying for this girl. Loni

She could always take some melatonin before she flies, as long as she's got you to look out for her and deal with practical things (it makes you pretty out of it; definitely don't drive after taking it). Melatonin production is one of the main things disrupted by wireless technology, and taking synthetic melatonin has helped me feel less fucked up in situations where I had no choice but to be in close contact with lots of RF (flying is a prime example). I haven't had to resort to melatonin in a while, but when I did the brand I used was Natrol; it worked well.
