Hi,
As we know, digestive problems tend to accompany ES... My husband's new doctor
recommended some digestive acid supplements (hydrochloric acid, ox bile). After a
few days in which we *think* we noticed some benefit, my husband woke up in the
middle of the night with kidney-stone-level pain, except located at the base of the
esophagus. The intense, focused pain lasted about 30 minutes, then subsided but
did never fully vanished even 24 hours later. My husband has had kidney stones
and had his gall bladder taken out several years ago -- the pain level was similar
but this is a different location. We're wondering if the atack was related to the new
supplements. Does anyone have experience with digestive acid supplements that
might shed some light here? Thanks.
