Corded/Cordless Phone with Eco Mode

Miller
Has anyone used a corded/cordless phone where the base phone is corded and connects to a cordless phone like the one here?

https://www.amazon.com/VTech-CS6649-Expandable-Answering-packaging/dp/B00839N5O8/ref=cm_cr_arp_d_product_top?ie=UTF8

It says it has Eco Mode that activates automatically. Also, if the cordless phone causes the base station to emit radiation even when not in use, could I turn off the cordless phone until using it?

I don't really understand your question...

I wonder if the cord phone part also emits radiation...

Can't you buy a simple corded-phone like this one?

The people who have researched this in the past, say that the situation with cordless phones vary by country.

In the USA, all cordless phone base stations emit radiation, even when the phone is not in use!  So "Eco Mode"
is not useful.  Better to just have a corded phone.

In Europe, there are some cordless phone base stations that do not emit radiation when the phone is not in use, and those are advertised as "Eco Mode Plus".

Also, there is a pretty elaborate website talking about Eco Mode cordless phones, here:

I was looking for the option of having a corded phone that had the capability of connecting to a cordless handset. The above base unit is corded but does it emit radiation like a regular cordless base unit (when not in use)?

If it doesn't exist, maybe it needs to be designed, built, and sold. If efficient and not too expensive, I would buy one. It is a good idea.

In my opinion that question is rather stupid.
*corded phone that had the capability of connecting to a cordless handset.*
Everything that is cordless transmits waves.
