Never tried that, but my experience with ionizers at close-range
have always been bad. I've had better results either opening
a window or using a low-powered ozone generator at a distance.

My Air Purifyer emits too much ozone, which
in turns triggers chest pains, angina type of pain!!!
Anyone knows why this happens?

I find that a lot of things trigger that reaction in
me. The Quantum DHLA Nano-Plex was the most recent
example, but I've also had EMF protection devices
cause that.

ozone is an irritant. I personally can't use anything that gives off ozone.
