Cell towers and other sources of

furstc0404-2

For UK based members:

How do I find out where cell towers, military bases,
and any other sources of RFs located in the UK?

I found out by chance that I live between two G3
cell masts, and I want to move. O2 sales person for
ISP was boasting how lucky I was, go and figure!!!

Please email details, many thanks.

This shows where all UK basestations are and what types of antennae. A verygood resource. I always use it to help plan journeys for my girlfriend.

She lives in a mobile hm and we hope to get to the seaside in Wales next week, need to faraday cage an area for her to sleep in when we travel as she is "flared" up at the moment.

Thanks Charlie, damn good site!!

About the mobile home, I have been thinking about
that for a while.

In terms of personal safety, how does it pan out?

Are there some sites which are occupied all year round?

Re: Cell towers and other sources of

blagrongra

Hi Kooky,

Personal safety depends on the campsite. She is based up in Derbyshire, so it is all outdoor types that are up there generally. She cannot stay in normal houses now anyway, she was in a tent for four months before the motorhome, but was just too wet and nasty.

If the winter is harsh then it can be cold , she has a gas fire but that isoff at night. She was sleeping in -9 temps. Luckily has a dog which helped!

There are some campsites open all year. Not supposed to stay more than a  few weeks but a local copper said he would waiver the gypsy law for her. She will stay in a remote cottage over the winter for 5 months then try another campsite in the spring.

Not easy being a refugee in your own country.

Regards

Charlie
