Car EMF Ratings

jaime_schunkewitz
In my search for a new car I've compiled
the EMF emissions for various models. Over
the years I couldn't figure out why I felt
ill after driving a new car. Now that I
finally know about my EHS I'm a much more
informed consumer.

Good thing I measured the Toyota Tundra
(which was my preferred choice). It puts
out a good 7 mili gauss onto the driver.
By far the worst of them all. Surprisingly
the Chevy Silverado puts out the least EMF
of the pickups I tested.

Hope this helps.
Eli

Re: Car EMF Ratings

Kurt Rowley
I read somewhere awhile back that the best overall car for EMS people
is the 1985 Mercedes 300D. There are very few engine electronics in a
diesel as they use glow plugs, and that was the best model year prior
to the advent of computers in the engines which started in 1986. The
earlier 300D had lower fuel economy, Mercedes really perfected their
design in the 1985 model year. And if you can find one, they can
drive 500K miles or more, some have gone 1 million miles. So they are
still young, even at 21 years age.

Try a Renault scenic 2ltr dynamique YR2002 this is off the scale with my
trifeild meter (mind you does it make a difference as its 50htz rated) at
sunroof level and dash, it drives me crazy if I drive it ! My 1999 Fiat Punto 1.2
no air bag is fine I suppose but of course it is still pumping out emfs at
wheel arch and usual places. Funilly enough I have a varicose vein on my right
ankle, the side nearest the wheel arch nothing on left - could be related ???

I shall visit you rating site

thanks

Independent of emf, new cars are notorious for chemical smells...many people have mcs as well.

Has anybody measured an electric car with a gauss meter?

I wonder if that is why GM recalled and scrapped all their cars in
California??
There must be more reason than the oil companies seeing competition...

I drive a 1984 Chevy diesel pickup. 0.35 mG at torso, and 0.6 mG at knees.

I remember looking for a quieter vehicle 11 years ago. One Ford 1984
diesel I tried was 1 mG or more. That was a shocker, as just being a
diesel wasn't enough.
