Building alternative products store

Sara TC
Hi everyone,

I've been a lurker for some time in this forum. My husband is extremely electrosensitive, and I am moderately sensitive. We realized this a few years ago, and we believe our problems began almost 10 years ago when we lived in Philadelphia and a cell tower was installed in our building right above our heads.

My husband and I recently decided to launch a website (www.emfs.com) aimed at educating the public about the potential dangers of EMF exposure. We are also building out a store (store.emfs.com), initially containing measuring and mitigation products.  (It is still a very sparse store and very slow going since it's all sweat equity right now and we are don't have a lot of money to be able to buy inventory.)

One of the things we have struggled with most when we first realized that we are electrosensitive is finding decent alternative products to replace high EMF appliances and gadgets. We were thinking of making a big focus of the store on alternative/replacement products for electrical appliances and gadgets. We have always wished there was a store out there that contains all sorts of lower EMF and electrical alternative products (non-electrical manual appliances, etc).

I guess I wanted to gauge what the interest would be in such a store? If you would be interested, what types of products would you like to see in such a store?

Thanks for any feedback you can provide.

Sara

Sara,

YES, YES, YES! VERY interested in ONE place to buy safer small appliances such as heaters, fans, air conditioner, computer, lamps, non-DECT phones, etc. And of course, make them safe also for the chemically sensitive.

Main problem is that I do not have enough income (and many of us don't) to afford what will likely be more expensive products. We need safe jobs in safe places. Maybe some celebrity could help with a crowd-funding campaign.

Where are you located?

Frying in Eastern Oregon,
Karen

Interested here, too.  If you have enough storage buy up old used refrigerators.  Our utility is going to the thrift stores and buying the old ones to keep customers from having them and they're also offering cash to customers for giving them your working old "energy inefficient" refrigerator.  Translation = no smart transmitter inside.  Energy Star ratings/appliances are a scam.

Hi Sara,

Wishing you good fortune with your new store.  For the non-electric replacement things, have you checked into Lehman's (Ohio)?  I just found them and ordered a carpet /floor sweeper--I am no longer able to use an electric vacuum.
Best,
Alex
