I know this isnt directly ES related, but...Anyone here have any ideas about HEV blue light filtering or display types that dont use blue light? I am veey sensitive to LEDs and screens in adition to my EHS symtoms.
My eyes burn and itch and scratch. Everyone I know expects me to use cell phones and computers, and its already a trial with EHS...
In addition to F.lux i also use PangoBright now http://www.pangobright.com/ Been using it for a while.
During the day it's not always needed for me, but in the evening and night i definitely use it,
because then the light on my screen is too bright and hurts my eyes, especially
when there is a lot of white on the screen. I tried other programs and browser plugins,
but this seems to work best for me.
I think it's not only about blue light. Too bright light is probably bad for sleep as well.
(Don't forget to exit such programs if you do things like photo editing or take screenshots.)
i once tried f-lux but it looks ugly and did not feel right.
now use prescribed computer-glasses with a bluefilter.
orange/yellow sunglasses should work but colour a lot.
newer monitors have usually a built-in bluefilter option.
this might give a better result than uploaded software.
especially in the evening it is vital to reduce blue light.
of course just candle-light will help best to sleep deep
led causes other problems too, so better try to avoid it
i don't have money for a new monitor nor expensive blue light filtering glasses.
I do have such cheap (15$ or something) sunglasses with blue light filter,
but i don't like using those. I think it's worse than F.lux because F.lux you can tweak,
you don't have to set it to max. The glasses i have i can't tweak of coarse.
Also, glasses do not change brightness of your screen.
