I'm looking to add a "green" supplement our nutritional regimen. So many choices: Green Magma, Vitamineral Green, Miracle Greens...etc. Any thoughts on which is the best for ES? FYI, Seasilver is already part of the current program and Primal Defense will be added shortly. Thanks, Cara |

I've tried a bunch of these, but I'm not sure which I would consider to be the "best". One thing to look out for is spirulina and/or chlorella content, as ES and mercury sensitive people can have negative reactions both of these ingredients. For what it's worth, today I will be eating an Odwalla "Superfood" bar, plus a small amount of Green Magma Barley powder. But in the past I've certainly used a lot of other stuff. Vitamineral Green is another powerful one, and it's got a lot of soil based probiotics in it, which might make it redundant with the Primal Defense. Marc |

I don't believe any of their products use algaes, in case spirulina and chlorella is a problem. I think they have 3 products -- one is concentrated fruits, one is concentrated vegetables, and one is an antioxidant. I'my currently using the antioxidant capsules ("Vineyard") for allergies, and I'm pretty convinced it helps my ES symptoms too. I haven't been on it that long though, so I've never mentioned it here before... Marc |

Thanks Marc. I'm going with the Green Magma. I noticed the spirulina and chlorella listed on the Miracle Greens and you're right, the probiotics in the Vitamineral Green would be redundant with the Primal Defense. I was a bit torn on whether to look for an "all in one" supplement (fewer things to take -- a big factor when you're already sick and don't need more stuff to do/keep track of) or to keep the supplements separate so I can more easily identify which individual element is having a positive or negative effect. For now, I'm favoring the latter approach. These algae absorb mercury and other toxic metals out of the water they're grown in. I haven't seen any that test mercury free in lab trials. So if your ES is mercury, or other toxic metal, related these algae can do a real number on you, especially if you've recently had your mercury amalgams removed. A safer way than trying the supplements straight off is using muscle response testing and/or energetic testing offered by a seasoned expert. Many complementary medicine practitioners offer this.
