Is anyone else considering moving to a less densely populated or rural area for health reasons? What specific rural areas do you guys think would be the best for health reasons and why? I'm in the United States but would consider other countries as well.
I've been told that the Midwest and West in the USA have a type of power grid that is bad in terms of magnetic fields (Wye). A guy in New Jersey said that he decided against moving to the radio quiet-zone in Green Banks VA because the power lines there were very 'dirty.'
maybe someplace in the Northeast? Supposedly the West is OK if you live in a very rural and aren't hooked up to the grid.
I was under the impression that WYE electrical systems are all across the US and not just the West. I'm out West and Delta power can be found in small towns. I'm in the process of building a house in a Delta system where the magnetic field is .01 mG which is
hard to find in a WYE system which uses the house as the ground - terrible stuff. Delta systems can be identified by power poles carrying only two wires attached by two identical insulators.

If you reply to this email, your message will be added to the discussion below:
Distribution-side WYE can be on only two wires, but the insulators will not be identical. Delta is only two wires on distribution lines with two identical insulators.
