Indeed, Bentonite is just ( a kind of) clay, but has special properties. E.G. I had here a bag that is used for garden application, ( for making sandy soils better in holding water and minerals) and when i put 1 cm of that bento in a glass, and added a bit of water to it, the clay powder absorbed it, if i added some more water, that too got absorbed, till it more than quadrupled in volume. So this clay powder not only took 1 volume of water up, but swelled much more. This can also happen when you ingest it, so don't over do it at the beginning. Maybe best try to read up about it ( internal uses ) before doing it. It also has an influence on electrolytes / minerals and it can absorb proteins too. It is not an ordinary clay like statue makers or brick makers use; and it comes in different kinds too. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bentonite the next are just a few links to medical uses of bentonite, I don't know if they are any good. http://www.healingdaily.com/detoxification-diet/bentonite-clay.htm http://www.vitacost.com/productResults.aspx?csrc=SITEREF-linkshare&ss=1&Ntk=products&Ntt=bentonite http://www.eytonsearth.org/ http://www.earthclinic.com/Remedies/bentonite_clay.html Grts Bruno M. Thank you so much for this information - I haven't looked it up yet but thanks for taking the trouble to reply and help - I had come across a brief reference to it on another website along the lines of causing problems to thecolon so I'm wary of trying it. But thanks for your help Steph --- On Tue, 14/10/08, Bruno M. <[hidden email]> wrote: From: Bruno M. <[hidden email]> Subject: [eSens] Bentonite was Re: GRAHAM STETZER FILTERS To: [hidden email] Date: Tuesday, 14 October, 2008, 1:12 AM [ I changed the title to something more appropriate ] Indeed, Bentonite is just ( a kind of) clay, but has special properties.
