Hi All,
I think there are also non-metaphysical explanations for overstimulation upon being with people. I had that long before I had ES and I am convinced the two are related. I am also hypersensitive to noise in general, actually experiencing noise levels others tolerate quite well as painful and overwhelming. This is a medical condition called hyperacusis. My doctor thinks that both the hyperacusis and the ES are caused because the level at which neurons fire in response to stimulation is way too low. There is a threshold of external stimulation neccessary before neurons will fire. In people with brain trauma (which according to a qEEG, I have), that threshold can be so low that the person reacts to electrical stimulation and/or other kinds of stimulation in a way that a person with a non-injured brain would react to *much* higher levels of input. This makes sense to me, because given high enough emfs, everyone has the reaction that we do to emfs. It's just that it only takes a fraction of the amount of emf exposure to trigger the same reaction in us. Also, just want to note that I have never substained any head injury. I was poisoned with a pesticide which is a neurotoxin. I think that must have been what gave me ES. There is a woman , who has done a lot of work on highly sensitive people , who as others have noted , tend to be sensitive across all spectrums. They tend to be the empaths , the intuits , the healers etc. The skills they have developed tend to eb more evolutionary than psychological , it isnot a choice , it is a physical or biological manifestation as you have described. Although HSP can modify the world around them , they tend to need very definite conditions

I was diagnosed w/fibro years ago, before I knew anything about this ES
stuff. Even people whispering would get to me. I couldn't go out to eat because normal table conversation sounded like they were screaming. My friend who also has fibro would complain her husband was "tying his tie too loudly". I believe the two are connected, but most of the time I am able to handle things better now. Hi, Taliesen,
Yes, I too react to noises, but now not as badly as before when I was extremely ill (before going gf/sf/ addressing nutrient deficiencies due to celiac and killing off bad bugs in my system). I did have a head injury twice, but I became severely ES and MCS after a pesticide incident, also. (Tho I have experienced other electrical symptoms and oddities all my life which might have been linked to the head injuries.) It was interesting tho that when the pesticide incident first happened, I was again really noise sensitive for some time. Never thought of the connection till you mentioned it. Thanks for the info, Diane --- On Thu, 1/1/09, Taliesen Waters <[hidden email]> wrote: From: Taliesen Waters <[hidden email]> Subject: [eSens] Being around people/overstimulation-another explanation To: [hidden email] Date: Thursday, January 1, 2009, 2:04 PM Hi All, I think there are also non-metaphysical explanations for overstimulation upon being with people. Interesting Marc,
I take these supplements too and I needed more of them when I was first pesticided. After a couple months I was ES but the noise problem abated. You may be onto something here that really helps the noise. OK, I really need to shut up now and allow others to talk! I see a too long list ofmy responses. lol Thanks, Diane --- On Fri, 1/2/09, Marc Martin <[hidden email]> wrote: From: Marc Martin <[hidden email]> Subject: Re: [eSens] Being around people/overstimulation-another explanation To: [hidden email] Date: Friday, January 2, 2009, 12:35 PM > Yes, I too react to noises, but now not as badly as before when I was > extremely ill These sensitivities can certainly come and go -- about a year ago, I had zero noise sensitivities.
