Hey all,
Ever since I had my new crown placed i have had an awful taste in my mouth. It had also been bothering me when i eat. I went back to see if my bite was off and he said it seemed fine but took a little off. He said he thought the taste was from excess cement which he scraped off my teeth. It actually tastes worse right now. Has anyone ever had this reaction? I sure hope it isn't from the PFM Gold Crown but i would be surprised if it was because there is no nickel in it. If i had only gone to a good dentist the first time and had the lava Crown placed correctly I wouldn't be going through this crap. I can't say I've noticed an increase in es symptoms with this crown in though. What would a battery effect feel like if I were having one? Steve |
I don't really know but I did once get an iron type taste
from emf exposure. If it's not the cement maybe they can put a lacquer over the metal, but that might be toxic too and I don't know if it would last. It is an iron like taste. I am praying it goes away because I don't think this tooth can handle another crown.

I think you want iron in your blood, but not in your
brain, which is a challenge if your b-b-b is bad... On Fri, Oct 15, 2010 at 12:42 PM, Marc Martin <[hidden email]> wrote: > > > > It might not hurt to try decaf green tea... There is a small drop of iron oxide in the crown base but its so tiny I can't imagine it would taste like this. I'm drinking the green tea just in case and it is good for the gums.
The taste seemed to be coming from the back of the crown where it meets the gums because when i ran my tongue back there I could taste it.
