Australia thinking of banning incandescent lights

Hi all,

I see that those in Australia may only have a few years
to find tolerable alternatives to incandescent lighting:

This is true Marc - it was announced last night. Actually it is definite. In three years time it will be illegal to produce them. I am quite concerned, and apart from stockpiling am not sure what the best solution is for ES people....or anyone for that matter. Its a shame that such a good effort will cause problems for some people.

Best solution in 3 years...

Importing incandescents from outside of the country?

LED lights? (which will certainly be cheaper and better by then)
