"There are also some indications that these symptoms may be due to pre-existing psychiatric conditions as well as stress reactions as a result of worrying about believed EMF health effects, rather than the EMF exposure itself." I wish good articles would leave this type of phrase out. My husband tells me it's what I think I have. I tried to explain it's what I physically feel, not worrying about technology. Sometimes I don't know what it takes to explain it's a physical problem that can cause emotional. How would anyone react if they felt burning skin & nausea to something? There are several countries here whom recognize EMS, as well as Sweden and Canada. He explained not only the bioeffects of EMF on EHS people, but also the social problem of disability in our modern societies. The Director-General of the World Health Organizaton [ WHO ] had EHS and was accommodated by all nations whom belong to the WHO whiich is most of them... It's frustrating, isn't it? I think its a combination. Part of it is until it happens to THEM...- it's not REAL and this sort of acts like a blanket permission for them to NOT get it. The other part is simply DENIAL. As long as they can continue to deny that wireless is dangerous, they can somehow live with themselves. As long as its NOT real, they don't have to acknowledge it. So they don't. As long as they can deny it, they can continue to use wireless and tell themselves its NOT real. I completely agree, but if you think about it every aspect of society is in denial about what has been created to "help" make our lives more "convenient." The exact same scenario was active during the time when cigarette companies and physicians were telling the masses how "safe" and "good for you" that cigarettes were. The meat and dairy industries tell us how important these products are for nutrition. While advocates of the coal industry tell us how "safe" and "clean" that "clean coal" is. Do we believe that the HPV vacccine is good for protecting our children from the virus that can lead to cervical cancer. Now there's several young people who have been stricken where they probably didn't need the vaccine at all.
Of course, we all know how "safe" --so-called silver amalgam fillings are. Isn't it amazing that the dental profession as well as the general medical profession still force this upon people when time after time it has been shown to make people sick. Is it conspiratorial in that once a dentist puts the fillings in-- someone will have to "get paid" (far more) to remove them properly. Also, remember when they cause all of the heath-related hoopla, then some specialist will get to treat or medicate the conditions produced. Now that's a real scam-- ching-ching all the way to the bank. People, including Dr. Mercola love to use their cell phones for as much stupidity as real intelligence, WIFI included. Right now, the global society has been introduced to a potentially bleak future where corporate authority overrides government, facts, spirituality and common decency, values or well-being of any kind (financial, health, self-awareness and esteem. In a way those of us who have succumbed to the underhand of society by coming down with EHS at least show that nature abhors a vaccuum. We just can't believe everything we're told. But that is so difficult for simple-minds to wrap around. Change of subject...but along the same lines...when President Obama signed NDAA 1867 on December 31st, 2011-- he finshed what the "Patriot Act" began. Now the government can even capture, detain and lock away anyone they deem to be a "threat" to the status quo. Oh they call it "terrorist threat." But don't be surprised if professional class people start to disappear in the future just because they refused to take it anymore and stand up to assert their "rights." That may include EHSers and their families at some point in the future. We may be considered telecom terrorists or ECO terrorists as more people may come down ill including our children. Remember the government has already decided to mandate the FCC Telecom Act of 1996--which stole our right to self-determination on the local level, silently chipping away at the so-called US Constitution. Politicians are pushing for hydro-fracking in communities, "clean coal" extractions from mountains and the continuation to promote nuclear power reactors despite outcomes such as Fukushima (now under the radar). It's all about the profits and with slightly over 7 billion people in the world, we can certainly stand to lose a few million. So it is very understandable why a mention of "possible psychiatric" condition would be imposed upon the reader at the beginning of the article to set up a doubting mechanism right from the outset. Hopefully, as more "real science" emerges (or at least more hypotheses are effectively tested) or as more people are found to be affected, the PsyOp now operating will give way to serve the masses. Let's face it. People love to believe the lie. This has been the reality time and time again-- sad, but consistent. Much to overcome isn't there?
