I always worry it'll clog up the plumbing... :-)

But I have used Bentonite clay on my skin (which certainly seems beneficial),
and I've taken it internally (which is also supposed to be beneficial, although
less obviously so than when applied to the skin).

hey, yeah I've done about 20 clay baths and hope to do one this weekend  :)  my doc, Dr. Klinghardt, says their main concern is that the clay has a strong enough magnetic pull on toxins and metals, that for metals it can get them moving in your body but maybe not make it all the way out!  So when I do one, I am supposed to take a chelator beforehand--something to bind metals and excrete through the bowel or kidneys....there are many types and I think a person should get muscle tested or something to see which might work best...chorella is good for some but I tested bad for it, but better for traditional sulphur based chelators like DMSA and DMPS, which you need  a scrip for....

about the plumbing, as long as you keep the clay in soluation with water and let it down the drain then, I've never had a problem....

Take care,

Debbie

If you hydrate it first it won't harm the plumbing.  In other words, don't put the dry powder in the tub.  Put a cup of powder, or however much you use, in a half gallon container of water and shake it up, let it set a while and shake again.  Then fill the bathtub first and stir it into the water.

Sorry about my messy, run-together posts.  Can anyone tell me why my posts lose their formatting when I submit them?  They don't look that way when they get sent. Thanks.

I guess I'd blame whatever software you are using to write the
messages with (email program?  web form?).   Some of these
programs like to "reformat" things after you've written them.

I've done clay baths for years.  I've got a tv in my bathroom and can sit in the tub for hours.  I like to do sauna's and sweat out as much toxins as I can and then do a clay bath afterwards.  Don't usually have time for clay baths but can do sauna's each day of the week and then do a clay bath on the weekend.  That way I don't have so many toxins that have been mobilized and hopefully the clay is just a mop up operation that get's what still left over.  There is a yahoo group called eyton's earth that deals with clay.

Hi Eli,

This is awesome!  I asked 4 questions.  I don't know if I asked you.  The first was where do I get bentonite clay at a reasonable price? The second was, where do I get transdermal magnesium?  The third was, where do I get iodine?  And the fourth was, where do I get pH strips?  This web answered all three questions beautifully.  Thank you.

Pam
