Anyone able to do photo/video editing?

Anyone have a setup fast enough to do video editing that's tolerable?

I have an m1 mac with 25" benq ips monitor. I tried relocating the mac 6 feet away. Monitor is 3 feet. Ethernet internet. Usb mouse/keyboard. Mouse is cheapest lowest emf Microsoft optical. Even though readings seem low it still affects me to intolerable levels after 10 mins maybe less.

I can do video editing on my PC.  

First of all, its a PC from some number of years ago (Lenovo ThinkStation P310).  Intel SSD drive for the C: drive, WD Red 4TB conventional drive for the D: drive.  Monitor is a BenQ 28" (VA panel).  Monitor is kept 4 feet away.  I put the resolution at 768x1360 because that is more tolerable to me than 1080p (also easier to read from 4 feet away).  VGA video cable (more tolerable than HDMI or DisplayPort).  Ethernet (of course).  PS/2 keyboard (vintage IBM).  PS/2 ball (not LED) mouse (vintage Microsoft).  I also have a variety of EMF protection devices in the area that through trial and error I've found provide some benefit to me (although most of this stuff is no longer sold, the companies are gone).  But I can spend 8 hours a day in front of this setup.

Heh, my setup is pretty spread out at the moment, as my employer provided me with a desktop tower PC (a Dell) that is quite bad for me, and one of the things I did for that was to move that PC (and my own PC) about 10 feet away from me.  So I've got a long VGA cable and PS/2 extension cables for the keyboard and mouse.  Prior to getting that work PC, my home PC was relatively close to me and not causing me any issues.

Both towers have PS/2 jacks at the back, so I'm using those with my keyboard and mouse.  But in the case of a PC that doesn't have PS/2 jacks, there are good USB-to-PS/2 adapters that I would use instead.

I think my home PC is a quad-core i5 chip.  The work PC is something ridiculous, like a 12 core i7, or something like that (not recommended).  I went into the BIOS and settings to turn various things down or off. So now it's more like a 6-core with all cores throttled to 50%.  And the work PC only supported DisplayPort, so I found a good DisplayPort-to-VGA adapter so I could keep using VGA nearby me.
