All outlets very loose except gfi

abailey63
I was wondering if people had any idea if the fact that all the
outlets in this house are loose is a symptom of some type of power
event like a surge and that there may be damage. Literally the plugs
will slip out of the outlets. I remember someone telling me this at
one point in the past. I think this is more than just "cheap" outlets.
Any thoughts?

Thanks, Alan

Could be they are just old and worn? Old switches can, if the contacts are
pitted
and oxidized, create RF on the circuit. See if a radio buzzes louder near a
switch when on. If the switch only controls regular lightbullbs, tightly
screwed in,
it is probably a bad switch. (Get rid of dimmer switches of course).
