Acousticom 2 Laptop Measurements Lenovo T440s

I just measured this laptop using Acousticom 2. I always wrap the laptop in foil because I noticed it felt much better, but was never in a super quiet environment to test what comes out of this laptop in terms of RF.. but today I am.

So here it goes.. I can hear the buzzing coming out of the laptop with dragging a window on the screen up to 7 feet away!!!  The level is extremely low, doesn't even go to 0.01, but interestingly, this still has an effect because I can clearly notice the difference between foil and no foil, and the Acousticom speaker picks it up. I'd say the Acousticom speaker isn't super sensitive like a real radio, so the fact it picks up that far is quite amazing!... That's no wifi of course, just the machine running emissions.

With the foil, the level drops to almost inaudible at just 1 foot and about 2 feet I don't hear anything.
I haven't been able to identify the source, cpu/disk/ etc. I think it's a combination of CPU and GPU.. it's interesting that dragging a window on the screen would cause so much EMF, as much as launching a program.
Also, I found Google Chrome causes less EMF when loading the same site than Firefox by about half!.. I'd be interested to see how Linux does. It is possible Ubuntu would have less EMF since it's more optimized compared to Windows.... Have to find some time to test it.

I also disabled Intel speedstep in the Bios and EMF was lowered a little... 20-30%. When I say EMF I mean magnetic fields, but likely they will correlate with the buzzing on the Acousticom, because the dragging of the window also raised the magnetic fields.
It gets to about 2000nT max, and jumps around while dragging a window, then lowers to 200nT or less when not doing anything.

Very interesting that the Acousticom 2 measures it so far.
Can you do the same test with a Radio ?

I will.
I just tested two other laptops. WoW!.. My girlfriend who has also ES uses an Acer laptop and it's worse than mine.  She has watched thousands of hours of youtube on it.

I think I'm starting to see the connection.  We have both used computers for thousands of hours and at most times they were pushed to their limit. I just measured and recorded a MP3 with her laptop

Timeline:
Computer start from hibernate (crazy noise)
Let to start for about 2-3 minutes.
Load youtube.
Start and stop youtube video (starts around 4:00), you hear more noise then less.

Ignore the wifi ticks in the background, .. that's from outside. the Acousticom was about 1.5cm from the laptop body, measuring at times 0.10V/m.

So what clicked with me was, guess what Wifi data download sounds like?? Almost exactly like watching that youtube video. And that's what gives off the most radiation... downloading !! So there you have it.. computers are basically like having wifi signal downloading at high frequency, .. But I don't know the frequency of that sound.
Although it's not so powerful like having a wifi up close, but added up over thousands of hours, and we've been at it for 25 years. I had a 386 even.. 486, etc.!! Not many people even had a computer at the time I was already on the internet.

How are you wrapping it in foil?  The underside of the keyboard area and the back side of the screen area?  I just started with a sheet of Reflectix under my laptop last week with all the other issues I'm having.  I also use my laptop with a separate wired keyboard so that I'm sitting further from the laptop and I have the laptop on a raised platform so I'm holding my head straight instead of looking down (I have cervical problems).  I also put a sheet of Reflectix under the keyboard.

Nope.
The foil goes over the keyboard area starting at the bottom of the screen and loops around and also covers the underside. The vents are on the left-right so laptop vents fine and doesn't heat up..
Make sure you cover the touchpad with a piece of paper or something non-conductive. The touchpad will be 'pressed' by the foil if not and the mouse will go crazy.
You basically want to encase the bottom part of the laptop.. that's where most of the EMF comes from, the screen part is not too part, don't cover it on the back, that will probably be worse.. if anything, cover it on the front if you have any EM shielding glass.

The new Lenovo T580 I am testing is the best so far, but it emits a heck of a lot of smell..
The emissions seem to be about half of the T440 or less, no way to hear it at 7 feet, and the noise sounds more pleasant anyway,.. the T440 at times makes a noise like nails scratching on a blackboard, and they repeat over and over at a specific interval.
Could it be possible for a virus to generate some frequency that it wants based on some logic in the program... I'm a computer programmer, so I'll say now that I see this, absolutely. Each computer will be somewhat different, but running short bursts of memory transfer or CPU can easily be done on a timer and made to repeat at the frequency that is picked.
