ARE CARS GOOD PROTECTORS FROM EMF'S?

Just wondered this since they are all metal--I used to think that attracted EMF's to us....but perhaps it deflects or absorbs at the same time.  I feel very calm in the car, and wonder if it might be a good thing after all?  any thoughts?
