Hell everyone.
My gas boiler [I'm in the UK - in the US you might call it a furnace?] sprung a leak which seems to be too expensive to repair and I am going to need to replace it and install a new one. I know from reading posts some people put up here a long time ago that people with ES can have problems with their furnace/boiler. I am in the unfortunate position that mine is still working properly and in ES terms doesn't cause me much in the way of problems, or else I would keep it, but as fixing it is going to cost the same as if not more than getting a new one then the sensible way to go seems to be to get a new one.
Can anyone give me any advice about specifications or things to look out for when choosing a new gas boiler as an esser???. I am terrified of ending up in the position of spending in excess of £3000 to buy and install a new boiler only to find that as soon as the technician flicks the on switch I have a dreadful ES reaction and am unable to use it - really need to avoid that if I can.
Any help or advice anyone can give would be much appreciated. I am very unwell at the moment so having to do this is a nightmare.
Thanks
Steph
