I have a silver lined t-shirt from Less EMF that I wear every time I go out of the house, and for the most part it prevents heart palpatations, unless I'm directly underneath a strong wifi access point, and then there's not much it can do.
Oh, and funny thing, at the airport I forgot I had it on, and the scanner technician asked me if I was wearing anything wet because she wasn't getting a good image. When I put my accousticom meter underneath it, the reading goes from red to green, so I know it is lessening the frequency. One of the threads recently got me to thinking about AM/FM protection. I've never tried to see what it does for that. Now I know that if I put this shirt directly on a router, the proximity would allow for penetration. These clothes articles seem to work well for ambient energy, but they won't stop direct energy pulses. The example being when I stand directly under a wifi access point or directly in front of someone using a strong cell phone,I will get heart palpatations. So, I turned on a battery operated portable radio, and tuned it into AM and covered it with the shirt. The shirt did not even lower the signal one bit. However, when I switched it to FM, the sound went down quite a bit to nothing but static, no songs, just static. However, when I held it above the radio, the sound increased as if the shirt were acting as an antennae. So, AM, the shirt does nothing to help. FM, yes it helps, but can also act as an antennae if held above the radio, not surrounding it. I don't know what the effect is for ambient. Maybe I'll do an experiment actually wearing the shirt while the radio is on. Here is the link to my t-shirt, which I love for it's microwave protection and would never be without. It looks horrid in the picture, but it is very soft and light, even a bit attractive as a cover over another shirt, with a bit peeking out, but not the whole shirt. Just saying that this picture does not do it justice fashion wise.https://www.lessemf.com/personal.html#205 |

Check out bargain protection material. My meter and radio say it works very well.

You can see through the net and watch TV. I am going to Clu clux clan style poncho out of 2m folded and seemed. This stuff gives -55Db on a wifi box touching. Effectively zero getting through. Pretty impressive.

Plopplop, are you grounding your sleeping mat or the material is not groundable?
Thank you. |

I live in the middle of nowhere but have an earthing problem as my sensitivity to AM and LW radio is so high. I do not have an earth attached to the sack all the time but have one next to me and use it periodically and never when the radio is bad such as the evenings. At the moment I have a double foil bubble wrap sleeping bag I hide in. Not every day but when the weather is such that they crank up all the radio transmitters. There are no AMs from France but Spain and the UK have no emission limits and they really get to and hurt me. Nothing gets through the bag. I use those clothes and mesh as well. They totally work. Fortunately in France I am well most of the time. In the UK it is a living hell that is extremely bad every time it rains for me. My head screams with tinnitus. It virtually stops in the sack even when I watch TV.
For microwaves you should not need earthing as the are around 1mm waves. Radio are very long, much more than the length of the sack. Because double foil bubble is insulated I think that helps if ever their is any unbalanced charge, I have never noticed any kind of problems except in summer it can be hot in there. The bubble sacks are just 2 x 1mts folded over and taped down one one side. I use 2 of them to make getting in and out very easy. They work for me when it is all too bad. Around dusk to 8pm and weekend evenings is when transmissions are highest. |
thank you, Plop.
Amazing too that you got sensitive to these very large radio frequencies... It means, we all probably also feel them, but we do not 'compute' them in our brains, as long as we do not know. We were all born with radio waves, so we have no idea what it is to live without them. I thought those meshes and metals would attract the radio signals, instead of protecting them, but it's nice to know you feel they help. What about wifi or cell phone towers? They would need grounding, I suppose? I have a blanket here, but I'm afraid to test it!! I have to wait for warmer weather, as my immune system is weak in winter. I don't want to fall more ill than usual! what if you just build a 'coffin'-like-box out of these blankets for summer? I suppose that should work as well, right? I once saw a video of a Swiss, who built a cage with PET bottles full of water. He made a 3 layered wall, and measured some frequencies, and most went down to minimum or zero. ONly 2 layers, was not enough, but when he added the 3rd layer of piled up PET water bottles, the trick was done. He made a sleeping niche for his head. |

I have a faraday cottage and 2 trucks and yurt and bubble bed thingys. All these things do is short out the power in the waves. As do we if they get into us. We are conductive to especially if sweaty or wet. If I watch TV I cover the direction with the cloth and look through the mesh. I dont see the mesh at all as long as it is close to my face.
I hear all the radio frequencies as tinnitus. That is my meter. May be I should be but I dont worry about earthing so much. Earthing is for residual charge. That which does not cancel. Thats tiny compared to what you are being exposed to. Plus most earths would be contaminated by stray voltages in areas where used current is being returned to power stations as they no longer use wires now. I sleep with all my lecky off. I am only around 12vDC. I have all the gadgets but low wattages and wired. My health is totally better but I have to preserve this but strict compliance with the above. I have a normal life. By keeping my exposure down I can engage in more normal exposures in town friends etc for short periods. I use meds then as well. |
