ADVICE ON USING GAUSS METER~Emil and other?

debbie4god39
Hi friends,
?
I have the little guass meter, called Dr. Gauss, in the LessEMF catalog, that I have been experimenting with.? It is a neat little meter, but I have a few questions about them.?
?
Firstly,? if says on the back if you push down briefly you will measure between 1mG and 10mG.
?
But if you hold the button it will measure smaller levels, .1 to 1.
?
So basically I wonder would briefly be about one second?? (what I've been doing)? I do see if you hold it longer it makes more noise but actually is starting to indicate the lower levels....
?
I just want to determine how long briefly should be!
?
Secondly,? I'm mostly doing one room.? It seems that with all the same lights, etc on, that sometimes the readings are alittle different....Is this normal?
Also sometimes if I have been using it for awhile, and maybe my imagination, but it seems the readings get higher on the same time holding the button.
?
does the machine need to warm up or something?
?
Just wondered any experiences or info, thanks!
?
Debbie

Press and hold for the 0-1 range. Press and release for the 0-10 range.

Yes. There is more going on than just the lights.

No, it does not. Remember that the orientation of the meter matters a great
deal. Rotate the meter to find the orientation which gives the highest
reading.
