Hi, I cannot believe what I experience isn't the norm!! I have been
experiencing weird things ever since childhood! I have a question though. My room is the only room in the house where this happens and it only happens when I am in it. It is usually off and will make this static like noise. I have no idea what this means and why it does this. I would love for some input!! The only way I can describe it is it sounds like Morse code. It makes little static like noises over and over again. The volume ranges and sometimes it will start off low and get really loud. It wakes me up at night, A LOT! It's something I can tolerate but for years I have wondered why it does it. I should also state my TV doesn't make the noise anywhere else either! BUT, my car speakers will make the noise when the car isn't on and other things I am around will too. Once when I was on the phone with my friend her computer speakers started making the same noise. I would love any comments or suggestions!! Thanks, jen |
Based on the type of noise you describe, I would almost guarantee that this
noise is due to a pulsed mobile phone signal transmitter, which is VERY close to the places where you are having the problem. If this is in fact the cause, then you should be able to see the transmitter (if you are in or near a multi-storey building, it could be attached to the roof or a wall nearby) and I imagine you should also be able to complain to your communications authority that the signal is causing you problems. Not sure if this helps. Hi thank your for the information. I live on top of a mountain
basiclly in the middle of no where. We don't have cable, cell phone service, etc. This effect also happens in a variety of different places. At my college, in my car, etc. I'm not really sure why its being caused or how to stop it. Thank you for the advice though! |

Another possibility is that what you are picking up is non-mainstream
communication signals, some of which are more likely to interfere with certain appliances. These signals could be coming from amateur radio users (e.g. CB radios etc.), and if you are in an area with little other communication service, then I would suggest that this is highly likely. There would also be the possibility of something coming from university research facilities, military transmitters/repeaters or even satellites. Anyhow, I imagine that only a spectrum analyser will tell you exactly what it is, and these aren't cheap, although a communications authority should be able to access one. I hope you manage to get it all sorted out Lachlan -----Original Message----- From: jenesherwood2003 [mailto:[hidden email]] Sent: Tuesday, 11 May 2004 3:31 AM To: [hidden email] Subject: [eSens] Re: question about my TV Hi thank your for the information.
