nT etc.

Dear all,

I measured 369 nT at my feet in the office where I worked the last
five years. Is that too much? Does it explain symptoms?

This office was at the second floor of a building 150 metres from the
large tower (see below).

What is the value in nT to expect under a ceiling with highfrequency
(low energy) TL-lightning?

What is the influence of a large tower (radio, tv, DVB-T (digital
radio and tv) and beam transmitters) at 100 metres, if you sit at the
same height as these senders?

I lived until one year ago in a dense populated area with many
antennas (GSM, distance 100, 300 metres) and August 2002 a beam
transmitter was added directed right over our appartment. And there
was a omnidirectional on the roof next to our appartment. At least
two neighbours had dect-telephones. Why did I go crazy there and why
the neighbours not?

Well, I guess there are several possibilities:

* Your immune system has gotten confused and has become
reactive to certain frequencies that most people are
not reactive to (similar to an allergy)

* Your body has deposits of heavy metals which are
acting as antennae for these EMFs, attracting them
to nearby organs and causing disfunction.

* Your body has other accumulations of toxins or parasites
or viruses or nutritional deficiencies which are causing
it to function suboptimally, so it cannot handle simply
daily stressors like EMFs (and probably other things
as well).

The million dollar question. Are you the canary in the mine; the first
to pass out when there is toxic gas? or have you done more emotional
work and your electric system is more sensitive to EMF?
Or do you have specific types of toxins in your body that respond
directly to these stimuli?
If it is #3, then detox programs, rebuilding the nervous system, and
removing yourself from these stimuli so in the future your body won't
do the secondary immune response by sending you into a coma when you
are around these sources (because your body now knows what to avoid and
will be extra sensitive).

How much is 369 nT?

1 nT = 10 uG
10 nT = 100 uG
100 nT = 1000 uG
369 nT = 3690 uG

1.000 uG is 1 mG

3690 uG = 3.69 mG

I recommend reading the book "Warning-the electricity around you may be
hazardous to your health" by Ellen Sugarman. It has many examples of
reading around computers, lines etc and the health impact of distance
according to certain EMF levels.

My understanding is that if you live in a house with 2 mG your likely
hood of cancer increases somewhere around 23% and 3mg goes up to 75%
and from there it sky rockets. You can read the book and decide for
yourself if you think the research is solid enough.

If I understand your question correctly, you can use a gauss meter to
find magnetic fields in your house. Most houses have readings that vary
between .05 and 5mg depending where you are in the house. What you
don't want is a baseline reading of 2 mG or more throughout your house.
I turn the power off in my bedroom and the bedroom below every night to
get the fields as low as possible.
Walk around with the gauss meter and check where you sleep, sit, eat,
etc. and make sure that you have low readings, 0.00 mG if possible.
They will most likely be .02 to .05 mG. Appliances put out a lot!
Hairdryers, toaster ovens, electric stoves, florescent lights, etc. can
put out between 5 mG and 150mG. But the good thing about magnetic
fields from appliances is they drop off fairly quickly after only a few
feet away. If you have a power line nearby your whole house could be
bombarded with 2 or 3mG.

Magnetic fields are different from the microwave radiation from cell
phones and cell towers. That is a different story and different RF
meter.

That conversion is beyond me. If you can figure it out, please let me
know what you get. Here are the conversion tables:

My first reaction is uW/cm2 is for voltage and electrical readings and
is a different bandwidth or spectrum than the low fields involved with
the mG part of the EM spectrum.
I hope someone will fill in the gaps in my understanding on this one.

We have electrical fields and we have magnetic fields.
In the low frequency spectrum they are measured seperately.
In the high frequency field, they are entangled in each other, and normally
only the electrical filed is measured, from which the magnetic component may
be calculated.
