Marc, great point!  I think you are right about that...
I was going to use rechargeable batteries and use freshly charged ones for the device when needed.
I will talk more with Bill before I have hime make one for me.
I have not been going anywhere so waiting until I can spend the extra money I don't have.

Yes, with my own Quantum Companion, there have been many times I think "oh, it doesn't seem to be helping as much as it usually does".  So then I push the button, and sure enough, the battery is dead.

The battery in the Quantum Companion I think lasts about a week.  I may have originally been using alkaline batteries, but I've been using rechargeable batteries for many years now.

My advice is to make sure the LED's light wavelength is greater than or equal to 565nm (so, red, orange, amber, or yellow, in that order of preference).

Please don't make it violet, blue, or green, although green is so much better than blue!

Having said all that, I'm not familiar with these devices. I'll have to look up what they're for. I would have given the same advice for any device with an LED power indicator.

These sorts of devices were more well-known 20 years ago than they are today.  The technology was originally designed for health purposes, but when the companies making these realized that there was no money in that, they switched to the high-end audio/video world, which also has an interest in "cleaning up" power, and has people with more money than they need.

For example, here is review from 20+ years ago of a device similar to what Elle is using now:

Well, that's cool to know about. Does Quantum Life Symphony A/C powerline conditioner do essentially the same thing as this, except it plugs in the wall? http://www.upgradingtechnology.com/onthego.html

If so, I might love one of those in the house! (If I could afford it, anyway. And when I can, I need to figure out how well it works, before I invest.) How much are the battery powered ones?

It's really fascinating how the link I have here talks about more harmonious relations. I could definitely believe that!

It's definitely similar.  As I own products from both companies, but I personally found the "upgrading technology" items better.  Although the "upgrading technology" folks are not currently selling anything ("Russ Andrews" in the UK has some "Clarity" conditioners that are made by them for use in the UK and EU, and they say that "Version 2" of the "Clarity Pro" is expected sometime next year).

Elle/ anybody that has purchased the Symphony Pro,

This has been a great informative thread, I am very curious to hear long term experience / results from using the Symphony or the Symphony Pro.

I haven't used the Symphony Pro for a long time, but I've used the Quantum Home/Pro (similar tech) for a long time.  22 years now.  Probably the only way I'd be able to stand being in my work office.  And since they haven't made these things in years, it's good to see that they have lasted this long.

Re: Quantum Pro and Autoclear

That's really good to hear.  Shows its also a durable quality product as well.  One can only assume that quality would carry over into the Sympony since it sounds like its from the same guy that brought the Quantum to market.

It's a shame the Quantum Pro is hard to come by (and more so as time goes on).

$800 plus for the Symphony Pro is a bit hard to chew, but if it comes down to it, I'll get it.

I have to revisit the website again to see what the difference is between the Symphony and the PRO.

In the meantime, I ordered one of those AutoClear devices to give that a try in the cars.

At least since they have them in stock.

To be clear, these aren't the same company or the same person. The current Symphony models are from Bill Stierhout, while the old Quantum Home/Pro/Companion/Auto Clear were from Mark Barlettani.  Mark Barlettani is the person who invented this stuff, back in the 1980s and 1990s.  My impression is that Bill Stierhout was an employee back then who spun off his own company using the same technology when the original company ("Global Coherence"?) went bankrupt in the 1990s.  Mark Barlettani was focused on health benefits, while Bill Stierhout was focused on improving the quality of one's expensive stereo system.  And not surprisingly, the stereo system company ended up doing better than the health company.

Quantum is out of business, correct? I wanted to try out a Quantum Home a few years ago but couldn't find them

I would normally say yes, they appear to be out of business, but it sounds like like "EMF_Crazy" just bought an AutoClear from them, so maybe not completely out of business?  I don't really understand what their status is.

Also I bought a super-pro from them in the past year, so again, not totally out of business.  But certainly not in the state they were in 20 years ago, when they had lots of products that were readily available.

Although the last AutoClear I got from them was just a car USB adapter that they'd done some sort of voodoo on.  So they didn't really have to manufacture much (or anything?) for that.  While many of their other products had to be assembled from scratch.
